I bought this the first time in April 2014 and this year in Sept. of 2017 I went to check the oil and it broke at the O-ring area leaving the dip stick in the tube . So I ordered a replacement same dip stick and it arrived in good shape the month of October 2017, I took it out to the car and put it in the oil check tube to check the oil and when I tried to pull it out to check the oil level it too broke off at the little O-ring seal leaving the dip stick in the tube neither dipstick fit very tight in the tube , I had to use a 1/16 drill bit to drill the center of what was left of the two dip sticks and then gently hand screw a long wood screw into the broken dip sticks in order to pull out the broken dip stick I used the same method to extract both failed oil dip sticks
