Expected to need a rack as my old pump was seized, ordered this one and it came in less than 3 days for half the cost of ecs(and it actually came unlike with ecs) and installed it, filled the system and bled it and now I have a car with power steering after over a year

Order a power steering pump for my 98 BMW 540i. The dealer doesn't carry the part anymore. They gave me the part number I trying ordering it online carparts came up stating GUARANTEED to fit. Which caught my eye and it DID FIT. A lot of online purchases end up being the wrong part costing the customer money. Thanks Carparts for getting it right the 1st time. The part came later than expected but it wasn't bad they kept me informed of the delay it was only a couple of days due to shipping.

`Received the pump and it looked to be of nice quality. when i installed it, it all went as planned (i replaced res. and lines as well) when it came time to bleed the steering, the pump would not stop whining when i turned the wheel. tried bleeding 4 times and nothing worked. I was driving down the street when the faulty pump exploded fluid everywhere. So in 3 days it failed completely.
I've tried contacting APW many times and got no response on a replacement. WOULD NOT BUY
