The purge valve fit perfectly fine, it was delivered very fast and it was a very good price, my husband loves ordering from car parts, they are no longer making the Grand Am so some parts are hard to get but this place always has them, he always finds the parts he needs and at a great price.

Question: Where on the engine is this part located?James / May 08, 2021
Hi Jimmy, I'll be happy to help. We don't have diagrams available for every vehicle. The purge valve is most often located in the engine bay on a hose going from the intake to the canister. It can also be located near the fuel tank. I hope this helps. You can use the link below to return to the item page. Question: No where does it state that this valve fits a '03 Grand Prix 3800 V-6 (3.8)?Ted W. / Mar 26, 2021
Hi Ted, Upon checking it does not fir your vehicle. Please check the link below for the correct listing. As for the purpose of it, it traps the fuel vapors created in your fuel tank and prevents them from escaping into the air. Not being to burn those vapors will lead to poor fuel economy. https://www.carparts.com/search?q=Purge_Valve&vehicle[cylinders]=6&vehicle[liter]=3%2E8&vehicle[submodel]=GT&vehicle[model]=Grand_Prix&vehicle[make]=Pontiac&vehicle[year]=2003&filters[universal]=false
