You should weld it on, but you can use self drilling screws if you don’t have access to welding.

Question: Is this the part that holds my hood latch it's got like three screws behind it or bolts to go into it but it's so broken up you can't weld it but is this the part that I need to order?Joseph H. / Apr 25, 2021
It is. But warning, after a year or so, you have to weld it back where the hood latch bolts on, Because it’ll separate again. It fits on well.

It is still helps, I took out everything I could, the lights, bolts and screws, and then I dif cut parts of it out to get it out.
