Question: Do you have to remove the steering wheel to replace ?Chuck / Oct 11, 2020
Hi Charles, Usually, you have to remove the steering wheel when you are replacing the entire steering column. However, this part is actually attached to the lower portion of the steering column shaft. It is an upper intermediate shaft. The question if the steering wheel is to be removed may vary from different vehicle make and model. I have a helpful DYI steps from our online catalog resource, please click the link below to see it. Still, it is best to refer to a trusted vehicle specific repair manual for more detailed step by step procedures. https://www.carparts.com/steering-shaft https://www.carparts.com/blog/why-you-should-always-consult-a-repair-manual/ Hi, As per checking, this item does not come with installation hardware. We suggest getting those locally through a local auto supply store or the dealership.
