The part was "as described" and perfect fit for the broken part that I needed to replace. It took me a couple of tries to assembled it. The star washer was a bit of a challenge to get started. But with patiences (and luck?), I got it assembled and then easily installed it.
The part shipped quickly. I'm coming back here for my next Jeep parts.

Worked great. Setting spring washers is a bit of a challenge but a carefully chosen socket and a big hammer did the trick.

No, this kit only fixes the visors of the 98' to the 2002 models.

I'm Samantha's husband Chris. I did the repair for her. When I received your message I did a little research and it turns out that the 2004 is different. The 2004 only used one screw to attach to the roof and it was slightly different shaped.
So this kit does not fit HOWEVER you CAN purchase a kit online at other stores and those kits DO fit the 2004 and are a similar price.
If they are similar to put together you will be fine. I am not very good assembling things and yet I did this incredibly easy and it is like brand new now. I suggest keeping the old retainer clips and screws from your original, just as spares in case.

Hi Scott,
A flat screwdriver should work to pry out the locking clips. The main tool also is the phillips-head screwdriver to remove the sunvisor base mounting from the roof headliner of your vehicle.
