I was able to order only the left tail light. But that was earlier this year; however I don't think anything had changed. You should be good to go.

All one had to do was remove the damaged (in this case) tail light unit by pulling it off, disconnect the old tail light harness via a socket, and then reverse the process: reconnect the new wiring harness and snap the tail light back into the car body. The replacement unit included every thing needed to fully function after reconnecting and snapping it in place.

Answered by Kurt W. / Tue, Jan 04Hello, and I'm glad to answer this question. This tail light unit not only included sockets but bulbs as well. Everything you need in a fully working tail light is included. I only needed to unplug the wiring, pop out the light unit, pop in the replacement, and plug in the wiring harness. It was delivered quickly and cost $200 less than the local GMC wanted for the same part.

Answered by Arnel E. / Wed, Mar 15The lens is attached to the housing. To replace the light, simply take out the two screws on the black tab and pull outwards on the entire tail light. It should release from the car. Then simply put the new one on in reverse order.
