I had backed into a tractor in my late grandads jeep. My truck is out of commission right now. Was able to get it fixed in replaced faster and cheaper then if I got it from o Reillys or Napa. Kept my dad from getting as upset at me. 😂can’t even tell it happened now.

Question: Had a small accident with my daughter backing into the corner of my 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo bumper. Bumper is dented in and small cracks on the tail light. It looks like I can get these parts on your site. Any comments on how difficult it is to change these? I'd rather not do an insurance report on this.John M. / Dec 03, 2020

Answered by Jeonino E. / Thu, Dec 03I replaced the tail light on my son's 2007 Grand Cherokee, which took about 5 minutes. Open the rear hatch, remove the two screws securing the tail light, slide the tail light out, and twist to disconnect the bulbs or just unplug the connectors. The replacement looks exactly like the factory original.

Answered by Mike H. / Thu, Dec 03Hey John, I had the same issue. My taillight cracked and I had to replace it. When I got the part it was very easy to replace since Jeep’s are pretty easy to work on. I would just get the Taligent from here and replace it’s not too expensive and takes like 5-10 min to replace it!👌🏽

Hi Abe,
There is no rivets or studs bolts sticking out from the tail light, it depends on the car make and design. If how you removed the tail light is same procedure in reverse when you are installing this brand new replacement one. Checking the back portion of the image, there are 2 philips screws at the back to hold the part in place.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Mon, Jan 04For a Grand Cherokee, there are no rivets required. There are two Phillips head screws located on the inside of the rear hatch opening. Remove these screws, and slide the tail light rearward for removal.
