Product almost matches the factory tailgate cables exactly, but not completely. Close enough though. Easy to remove the old cables and attach these. The work fine. I'm satisfied. The arrived quickly.

The tailgate cables, while including new Torx bolts, were too short for my 2005 Toyota Tindra SR-5 Crew Cab. Make sure you are ordering correct ones. These must be for a Tacoma.

Not sure if ‘06 Stepside is standard dimension, but it’s worth a try. Can’t imagine Toyota would resize a tailgate for one model.
