When I got the replacement the package said it fit a 98 ranger but the order online said it was to fit a 2001 ford ranger. It did fit into the holes though but it was much smaller than the other one so it did not cover where the old one used to. It’s not that big of a deal, it still fit but that is just what I gotta say.

Answered by Arnel E. / Thu, Oct 08Open your gate and unscrew the plastic bed liner from the inside of the gate. You will then have a clear view of the mechanism and the bolts that remove the gate handle.
If you have the right year, the handle they sell will work
