When I got the replacement the package said it fit a 98 ranger but the order online said it was to fit a 2001 ford ranger. It did fit into the holes though but it was much smaller than the other one so it did not cover where the old one used to. It’s not that big of a deal, it still fit but that is just what I gotta say.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Sun, Dec 20Full metal, but be aware it can “stretch” some so may need to bend it on or out some to get the proper tension on the cable. if your latch Mechanism is rusty and cable are bad replace those right away as well.
