I purchased this wind deflector a couple of years ago. There was no "hardware" in the box. The deflector itself has mounts permanently attached. When you remove the old one by removing the window hinge pins, you reinstall the new one with the mounts located where the old ones were. The pins hold the window mounts and the deflector mounts. It sounds easy, but you really need a friend to hold the other side of the deflector, and more so the rear window while you work with the pin on one side. Installation was straight forward. -- Fred

No, I had to pull the threaded sleeves out of the old one and put into the slots on the new one. Whole thing blew off my trailblazer two weeks later while going 70 down the highway.

Greg, I have a 2002 GMC Envoy and it fit my truck perfectly fine. But you will have to cut the sides down a little. The bolt holes line up perfectly.

I didn't see a color choice when I bought mine...it says "primed"...so to me that means you have to paint it. BUT the finish was black and it was a plastic piece very nice. I have a red car and I just installed it as is....looks great as black...goes with the darkened rear window nicely

The upper Tailgate Moulding came in a dark gray/black color. I had expected to have to prime and then paint to match to match SUV. As it turned out, the base plastic color fairly well matched the SUV and I did not paint. - Fred

The leading (forward) edge has a rubber strip that faces the rear edge of the roof, just to deflect the worst of a water flow. This piece is attached to the top of the tailgate and that strip moves back away from the rearward lip of the roof as it's lifted. Bear in mind, the whole tailgate including this component is OUTSIDE of the weather sealing edge around where it meets the interior. So even without this assembly, the tailgate is still water tight. One important note: If you're installing this, look carefully at the forward edge and notice there are two tabs that have to be hooked UNDER the tailgate hinge pins. If bolted in place on top of the hinges, you'll have two camel humps because you didn't slide those tabs UNDER the hinge pins--and the whole assembly will likely bind against the roof, possibly wrecking it! The Moulding as like a mounting tape adhere to the part that you just peel it and place it where the moulding goes the item is secured in place, and have in the part like a rubber so no water goes in. Just be sure that this is the part for your model.

This part does not come with weatherstripping. You will need to purchased that separately. Still, this is an excellent product!

I took this same approach with my daughters 2005 Trailblazer --even purchased the weatherstripping and 3M sealant to attach it with. But I still had a broken plastic part and ordered from Car Parts. If I had continued trying to add the weather stripping I probably would not have been happy. Replacing the entire assembly is the ony as to go. I do suggest that you have a helper to hold while you reinsert the pins in the hinges.
