Perfect fit. Installation? Remove the inside tailgate trim. Remove the oval spaced bolts from the top center, you can leave the bottom ones that are on the outside installed just loosen. At a paint Mark so you know horizontal from vertical. Set all of them into the horizontal position.
Install all of the body molding plastic fasteners on to the garnish. With the tailgate in the up position, but not closed, center all of your holes over top of your fasteners and push in to secure. Now rotate the spaced over bolts so that they are in the vertical position and tighten down.
I would have attached pictures but I didn't take any sorry.
Product is a perfect fit. I would recommend that you paint it before you put it on and use adhesion promoter and a epoxy primer prior to your base coat and clear coat. Make sure that you give plenty of time for all of the coats to completely flash I would recommend 48 hours before going to the next coat. So what I'm saying is clean and scrub the part with a green pad. Let it dry completely. Wipe down with isopropyl alcohol. Let that dry completely. Spray your adhesion promoter / primer. Let that flash off and 15-20 minutes later spray your epoxy primer. Set that aside come back in a day or two. Spray your base coat (follow the manufacturer's recommendations but spray at least three coats). Let that dry a couple days. If it is a black color and you have any orange peel, break out the wet dry sandpaper and take care of that. If it's a metallic don't touch it. Make sure it's completely dry and now you can spray your 2K clear, following the manufacturers recommendations get at least two coats on there. If there is any orange peel, let it go ahead and flash off for a few days don't be in a hurry. Go ahead and wet sand it if you need to and then buff it.
The part is small enough that you can do this by hand you don't need a buffer or a machine of any kind. Careful not to cut through clear coat on the edges.

This is not compatible, this fits only up to 2008 Honda CRV. Unfortunately, we do not carry the tailgate molding for your 2009 Honda CRV.
