I received the tailgate on schedule as promised. The shipper/s appeared to have dropped, it on its end one or more times, creating sizable dents on both corners. I called <a href="http://Carparts.com" target="_blank">Carparts.com</a> and was greeted by a very polite, professional and knowledgeable employee. I explained the issue and in very little time the issue was resolved. A week later I received a new undented tailgate. That detail is no longer mentioned as the thickness gauge is as of the selected vehicle application, exactly matching the factory specifications to conform with the quality standard of the OEM manufacturer. This has similar features and specifications as the original part that it replaces.

Hi, I don't have a way to measure its thickness, but I can say by looking at it that it is a thicker gauge metal and sturdily built.

Hi,
If your VIN number starts with letter "J" which stands for japan built, this is not compatible. If your VIN number starts with 1, 4 and 5- this means this is a US or North America built/assembled vehicle, this would fit your truck then.
