Almost an exact fit. Some features were different. Caused me to make some modifications to the tailgate so the inside door latch trim would fit. Other than that, nice fit.

Worked great… but the 2006 golden eagle tailgate has a vent in the middle and no good options to cut one in. The cover for the inside latch has a different mounting I will need to modify the old one to fit.

The metal thickness is not quite as thick as the original tailgate and there are some minor differences but the tailgate fits perfectly on my 2006 Wrangler TJ 65th anniversary addition. I also purchased a new tailgate seal which you will need as well.

No, this tailgate is thinner and lighter.
That makes it easier to lift and install, but for my Jeep, the tailgate sagged a bit on the hinge-mount plates once the spare tire was mounted on the carrier.

I found the tailgate fit well . I put new stainless hinges on ,and bought a spair mount attached to a swing out frame fixed to a new bumper , now I can wash the tailgate behind the spare.

Yes, this fit my 2006 Wrangler like a glove. Only issue I have was the plastic that goes over lock mechanism on inside of tailgate does not fit. No big issue though.
