Question: I purchased this replacement part, and it fit perfectly, but now my trunk will not open. Has anyone else brought this issue up? I have tried opening it through the inside button, the button on my trunk and the button on my key.

have you tried to open the trunk with the key? when you do, there is a lever there to lock to the trunk from using anything but the key, it is yellow in color, move it to the unlock position or to the other position that it is now and close the trunk and see if it will work from the dash and or the remote. Hope that helps you out
