Hi Diana, I'm happy to be able to assist you. The turbo boost sensor (or TBS) is similar to the MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor. The only difference is the application. Answered by Aldrin P. / Wed, Apr 27If you’re working on an n55 engine, some models have one on the intake manifold and the charge pipe. This is the MAP sensor, which essentially is the same as the boost sensor. My car is a 2011 535i with the n55 and has two, as detailed above.
