Hi Keith, I'm glad to assist you. It is possible there is a mismatch of some sort. Check the socket connectors if there are no loose terminals. You can also unplug and plug the socket connectors securely again. For us to double-check, please provide the complete information of your vehicle (year, make, model, submodel, and engine size). Answered by Jeonino E. / Sun, May 29I have didn't replace it it was for.my aunts car so instill have the switch maybe it might be a defect switch or something else. Sorry this the best I can tell u wire ground can cause this in wire not working probably.

Answered by Arnel E. / Fri, Jul 01GM didn’t change many thing like that till the late 90’s so more than likely it will work. It is just pressed in by hand once you fish the wire down through the column using the old wire to pull.
