Yes, be mindful of the cancelling pin when installing...theres a delicate spring inside. I would say straighten out the steering wheel as well ...not sure if that affects where it cancels the blinker along the rotation of the wheel

Hi Ronald,
This part is guaranteed to fit the 1998 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) Sport 6 Cyl 4.0L. It could be that the lock ring on the turn signal is cracked or broken that's why the lever does not return to the rest position. Yes, replacing the turn signal switch would solve the problem.
