1996 Ford F250 Turn signal/wiper control switcheTurn Signal Switch
5.0/5
The order and shipping process was flawless. I replaces the wiper/turn signal control two weeks ago and all functions have been tested and utilized in daily driving since with no failures or anomalies since. I would definitely recommend this item. I have ordered numerous parts for my 1996 F250 from Carparts.com and have always been satisfied with their service and parts.

Question: What part stops the turn signal from blinking, once you have turned?A Shopper / Oct 02, 2020
Hi,
That is the internal mechanism of the turn signal switch which is connected to the clock spring. If the problem lies with the switch then it’s likely getting stuck in position due to the clock-spring. Regardless, the problem isn’t the blinker itself, but the device that communicates with it. This problem requires advanced knowledge of wiring to fix.
We recommend referring to a trusted vehicle specific repair manual for details about this problem. You can find more information here: https://www.carparts.com/blog/why-you-should-always-consult-a-repair-manual/
Also, it is best to consult with your local automotive shop or dealership for a careful troubleshooting and diagnostic procedure to identify the problem accurately.

I just purchased this item along with the clock spring. The clock spring is what was broken inside the steering wheel causing my turnsignal switch to mess up. Once you change both it took a day of driving to get them insinc with each other. The turnsignal still worked it just wouldn't catch the latch in my turn to disengage the turnsignal switch. Like I said it took a day of driving and it works perfect now. I changed them out about 3 or 4 months ago

Answered by David c. / Fri, Oct 02Question: When turning right, selector will not lock, i have to hold it up while i turn. Will this fix that?Mongrel / Dec 25, 2020
Hi Gail,
If right turn signals are not working properly, then yes, it is time for a replacement. To find the correct fitment - Please enter your vehicle’s year, make, model, sub-model, and engine type, and type the part's name in the search box. Once your application is selected, you’ll see a “Guaranteed to Fit” badge if the part will fit, and we recommend that you also double-check Your Vehicle Fit Details as well as the Vehicle Fitment Information table on the product page.

If you have a magnum most likely its the clock spring. I purchased both the turn signal and the clock spring just in case and changed both of them. But when you take the turn signal switch out you will most likely see the clock spring broken inside
