maybe the switch. could also be at the bulb connection or the bulb itself. since it is a 2007 and bulbs have not been changed its easier to buy a new set of bubs and change both turn signal bulbs at the same time. very seldom is there a wiring problem. if they work problem solved. if not its the switch. now I did not say do any voltage or resistance checks at a check point to isolate problem functionally. thats a shop. this method is owner cheap method to keep costs down and get job done. changing the switch is not to difficult, there are videos you can use step by step and keep cost at minimum. the switch I purchased works well and works fine. either way the problem should be solved

Could be your taillight bulbs. I had an 03 Grand Marquis and my turn signals did all kinds of "funky" things. I was told I had the wrong bulbs. I'm sorry but I don't remember the bulb # that fixed my problem. Good luck.

Question: I have a 2007 Grand Marquis the turn signals work however the turn signal blinking sound never shuts off even after the turn signal does. Will replacing the turn signal switch fix this problem? Thanks, LarryLarry W. / Jan 31, 2022
Hello! A new switch will most likely solve your problem, but it may be worth removing the steering wheel first to make sure nothing is wrong with the steering wheel, which triggers the cancellation signal.

Hi Larry, Although my issues were different, I did have similar type to deal with. Because the component has several operations within it, yes, you do have to replace the whole unit b/c of them all working conjunctive. With a new unit, I believe all functions should work just fine. Just my opinion, based on what you said. Good luck! BrenB

Question: I have no turn signals working. Replaced bulbs. In plugged negative cable for 5 minutes. Only get a rapid ticking sound. Could it be the turn signal switch. I was hoping it's not the ECU. I have all other lights. Just no flashing signal?Carter M. / Nov 25, 2021
Hi Carter, thank you for reaching out. We can only speculate at this point. Kindly have it diagnosed to see exactly what's wrong with the vehicle. Have a good one.

Hi Carter...I had a similar circumstance, and I did have to replace the whole control. Different components within the control, making it partially working, as it did with me. Replacing the whole arm control made sense to me, considering the age if my Town Car. Is the part returnable? (Ask yourself first.). Then, think about the age of the vehicle. Some parts just make sense to replace, knowing they will eventually quit. My opinion for myself: It was worth it to me to replace it, eliminating other issues as it would eventually be done. Good luck to you. BrenB

Question: What is the adaptor plug for  do you have to use it on a 2009 mercury grand marquis ?Jonathan M. / Nov 06, 2022
Hi Jonathan, thank you for reaching out. The adaptor is for models with the old version turn signal switch. If you have the old version, you will need to replace the old 6-way connector on the wiring harness with the new 6-way connector that is included in this service kit. You can compare the connector of the original part with the connector included in this item for reference. You can use this link to go back to the item page and continue ordering the part at 62% off the regular price today: https://www.carparts.com/turn-signal-switch/replacement/repl504301?can=CPAP3648_CSQA_20221106 I hope this helps.
