DO NOT BUY THIS MOTOR!!!
IT DOES NOT WORK!!!
THE OUTPUT SHAFT DIAMETER IS TOO SMALL AND THE DRIVE KEY FOR THE VACUUM PUMP WILL JUST SPIN ON THE SHAFT.

pump works great,motor is a little shorter than stock unit but fits in brackets fine. make sure your old motor didn't take out the circuit board first, if valve functions without motor you should be fine, also pump must be reprogrammed.

Hello Martin,
I own a business that repairs Mercedes Benz electronic modules, so I know these components very well. I am a bit confused because in the United States the 2006 S350 (W221 chassis) does not have what is called a PSE pump, therefore it does not use a "vacuum pump motor". All the "soft close" doors and trunk are electric, not vacuum or pneumatic pressure driven.
The other fact I must mention to you, is that I bought some of the motors sold by Carparts but they had the wrong output shaft diameter, so I had to return them. The return process was not very friendly, if I can put it in a nice way. Buyer beware.
If your car is a W220 chassis, it will have a PSE pump and replacing the motor does not require any programming of the motor, but replacing the motor does require advanced skills, especially removing the plastic vane off of the motor shaft without breaking it. Also you need to pay special attention to clearances in the pump mechanism. Additionally, you will need to de-solder the motor from the main control board..

The car was working on was a 1999 S500 it did not require programing. the pump runs as needed. I hope this helps.
