Answered by Grace G. / Mon, Feb 28The gasket will fit inside of the slotted edg3 of the valve cover. The fit is perfect can't get it wrong. If it don't fit then it don't belong. And Yes the flap on the gasket is for less oil consumption as well as air flow.
