The valve cover replacement brand has undergone upgrade already to avoid those issue on the priginal design.

Answered by Justin M. / Tue, Feb 02Yes. Was losing around 1 qt between oil change cycles, noticing smoking on cold starts. Changed to new style cover and oil consumption disappeared. Recommended this swap out.

There is no removeable PVC valve, it's just a tube that comes out and you plug your vacuum line into it. But it does help prevent oil from being sucked into your throttle body and burned into the engine.
