It fit the car perfectly. However that did not solve my problem. The car is still overheating. I believe it could possibly be the thermostat not opening like it should.

We have the water pump that may fit your 2004 BMW 745i Base 8 Cyl 4.4L with water-cooled alternator. However, you have to check if it matches the production date. The car has to be manufactured before or up to 10/03. The production date is located somewhere on the driver's side door jam.
