It fit the car perfectly. However that did not solve my problem. The car is still overheating. I believe it could possibly be the thermostat not opening like it should.

Hi Isaac, I'm glad to assist you. There is no need to put grease since the part is assembled and enclosed already. The bearing or internal parts are greased from the factory, and all you have to do is install and use the part. The hole could be for the oil or grease, but we cannot confirm that. Your mechanic should easily know those details upon installing the part.
