GreatFront, Driver Side Power Window Regulator, With Motor
5.0/5
Easy install and works nicely in my 2013 subaru outback 3.6r limited. I will say the motor is a little noisier than OEM but it doesn’t really matter. 5 stars for the price.

Easy installation. Works very well. Just be aware the longer bolts are in a small plastic bag. I almost threw them out!

Question: I got this "REPS462942" installed on 2011 Subaru outback 2.5i Premium. I am very disappointed that it doesn't work when I try to move the glass up. Glass goes gown but coming up is only 1-2" at a time. There are so many people complaining here about same problem. I am not sure why this is being sold if it is defective...  I tried reset combination (i.e. bring it all the way down, hold it, bring half way 1-2" at a time, bring all the way up and hold it) and it doesn't work. Can someone provide specific reset process that works?Prasad / Jul 23, 2021

Hello! I just watched a video in prepping to replace the motor and regulator and at the very end of this video the guy touches on this exact issue. It is apparently the wrong part. The stuttering is caused by a 2 wire vs. 6 wire set up at the motor harness. (I think this is partially because the site says a part for a premium trim level will not work in my 2.5i base model, but somehow the base part will work in the Premium trim level. That seems suspect.) Search Dan the Man garage 2011 Outback regulator.

I wish I knew. I heard rumor you need to reset it with computer but I have not tried. Mine does the same thing, goes down fine but only a bit at time going up. It's a pain

Question: I installed this on my 2011 Subaru Outback drivers side.  Everything fit properly, but after the install the window does not quite function right.  Once up, it goes down fine.  If it is stopped part way down, it goes back up fine, but if it goes all the way down, when you try to put it up, it only goes up 2” at a time.  Once you go all the way up it will work fine again until it goes all the way down.  Any ideas?Matthew E. / Apr 08, 2021

Hi. Not an expert, but I read somewhere that there is away to reset the window. I discovered that when trying to problem solve the issue. I believe you have to hold the button a few seconds when it is all the way up or down, not sure which. Maybe look up “how to reset power window”.

Mine does the exact same thing. I was thinking the switch was bad. Now I am beginning to wonder if the regulator is the issue.

I have had the exact same experience, I like the "best answer" I see, will try and find out if there is a combination of clicks that will help. If you find out anything, would be interested. Gabriel

The safety sensors have to be reseted. Just google your cars make and model. Its real easy should be a combination of clicks with the window switch.

Hi Matthew, I'm glad to assist you. The window regulator could be defective. It should work seamlessly once installed correctly. This has the anti pinch feature. A pressure sensor that detects window motor movement when the glass has stopped moving, even minutely. If this occurs, the window reverses direction and moves downward. If you do not have the anti-pinch function, this is not compatible. But, if you have that feature, this should work fine. If not good. Click and see the link for our return details (https://www.carparts.com/customer/returnpolicy). I hope this helps. Happy shopping.

Question: Hi, 2013 subraru legacy limited Received the part quickly and it looks great and fits great. I’m having issues after the install.   I bought the one without the anti pinch (accidentally) the first time around. The window will roll down fine but it only goes up 2 inches at a time. Having seen this before after changing my battery, I went through the reset per my manual and it didn’t work.  I checked all over YouTube and all I find is the same or similar reset process for my vehicle. I tried multiple things but the only thing that would work was me rolling it down 2 inches at a tone, then I’d be able to roll it up all of the way without a hitch.  So then I bought the motor with anti-Pinochet hoping that was the issue.  I swapped the part again and it still has issues.  Only now, there is no work around. I can roll it all the way down just fine but can’t get it rolled up more than 2 inches at a time. Tried the reset multiple times again.  Also, this motor stutters once in a while.  I figure there is something the car is doing rather than me getting 2 motors that don’t function to spec.  Can you help?  JasonJason D. / Apr 17, 2021
