Question: I have a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. When I try to roll the window up on the driver side it goes up then comes back down about half way unless you hold the switch up for a couple of minutes. Is this a switch or motor problem?Bryan / May 23, 2020
Hello! I would assume this is a regulator problem. The cables and pulleys can get bound/broken and cause binding similar to the behavior you described.

Answered by Mitchell D. / Mon, May 25Have you tried holding the bottom down once the window goes down for a few seconds? Then hold it up, once the window goes up keep the pressure on the switch for a few seconds. That should reprogram the unit.

Hi Pat,
As per checking, this is an OE design window switch, the same as the factory design. This is a direct fit screw-in attachment design window switch. You might need a screwdriver (maybe flat-head, Phillips-head, or snub-nosed) and long-nose pliers to remove the window switch.
