Question: There are conflicting answers on this item, and it is difficult to tell via the photos. Does this item include both the cowl and the seal that touches the windshield? Or is this only the cowl replacement and I need to purchase waterproof seal elsewhere?Andrew R. / Jan 21, 2021
Hi Andrew, This comes with the left and right wiper cowl and weatherstrip seal with it's mounting pins/clips.

Andrew, the two I ordered (right and left) both came with the seal that interfaces with the windshield. Have to remove wiper arms but was a pretty easy install - less than 30 minutes for both sides. Been installed for a few months and working fine even though COVID has reduced our driving time dramatically.

The waterproof seal is integral to the cowl, not a separate part. Kit contains 1/2 the fastenerss so be sure to not damage the fasteners when you remove the cowl. Mine fit perfectly and I have no complaints. I'm glad I replaced the cowling.

IT DEFINITELY INCLUDES THE SEAL, the seal is molded right into the plastic cowl piece. I purchased these about two months ago and they are excellent quality and include everything that you need to replace your old or damaged cowl covers.

Yes it does. The seal or rubber strip is an integral part of the cowl.

Hi Sharlene, The answer depends on what parts your car needs. This replaces the entire wiper cowl grille for 2001-2007 Ford Escape.

Mine was literally falling apart in chunks and I had to replace both pieces. Deterioration of the original parts due to weathering was the culprit. Looks so much better!
