I was a little worried about changing my wiper motor out, but THANKS to Car Parts, it fell right into place as it should. Hi Michael, I'm glad to help you out. No. The switch that controls the amount of delay is a variable resistor, or in the case of a "fixed delay" system (where you can select from a few different delay periods), it connects the resistors of different values. The more resistance you introduce into the circuit, the longer the delay between wiper sweeps. I hope this helps. Answered by Grace G. / Wed, May 12I concur with answer above. I installed this motor in my 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel in Oct 2020 which has a fixed delay system control on the wiper control lever. All delay settings worked as original.

Hi Joseph, I'm glad to assist you. No. It is incompatible. The length of travel is not noted anymore since it is a direct-fit part and designed to work on the Dodge truck models from 1998 onwards. We do not carry a windshield motor for a 1948 Ford ruck anymore.
