Question: Have a 2007 ford Taurus SE v6 that will only blow hot air on the floor, the air will not switch from one position to another, how can I see if it is the blend door not operating?James E. / Feb 15, 2021
Hi James, Aside from the blend door actuator, there are several factors that could cause the issue, such as the fuse, the relay, or wirings. We highly recommend that a certified mechanic diagnose the vehicle to pinpoint what part needs replacement.

If you hear click click sound when turning the temp knob from cold to hot then your HVAc door actuator need replacing. Check the part number and order from carpart. They provided excellent service to find correct part for my vehicle.

If you turn the control knob to heat and hear clicking noise but no heat from vent your hvac heating blend door actuator is broken. Make sure you know which part you have to order. Your car may have manual temp control or automatic hence your actuator need to match that.

If it was the actuator you would hear clicking when you have your AC on.

Question: I have a 2005 Ford Explorer & I have replaced the actuator motor a few years ago it was only blowing cold air & it was making clicking noises when moving it from defrost to heat, it is now making noise again & it only blows HOT air even when it is on MAX air conditioning...is this the part I need?Cindy C. / Aug 05, 2020
Hello! The actual flap itself tends to break on your model. It's possible to see the arm that connects the actuator to the blend door if you lower the glove box
