Hi Egon, I'm glad to assist you. Yes. There is a difference in the technical specifications and current rating in amperes which is higher in an automatic transmission. The alternator for the automatic has a clutch pulley whilst the manual engine alternator has a standard pulley. Please provide the complete information about your vehicle (year, make, model, submodel, and engine size). The VIN would be much helpful. I hope this helps for now.
