Question: Hello I have a 2003 Toyota Camry Le 3.0L and I have a code P0500 and it says to replace input transmission speed sensor. Will this part fix my problems and does it fit my vehicle?Brianna J. / May 02, 2025
Hi Brianna, I am pleased to assist you. This automatic transmission input shaft speed sensor (SC153) is the correct part for a 2003 Toyota Camry LE with a P0500 code, indicating a vehicle speed sensor (VSS) circuit issue. This sensor monitors transmission input shaft speed and should resolve the issue, provided no wiring or connector faults exist. Question: my 2004 toyota camry has two transmission speed sensors. Do both speed sensors use the same part?Walt / Nov 12, 2020
Hi Walter, No. The other one is the Output Shaft Speed Sensor. This part you have chosen is compatible with the 2004 Toyota Camry LE and XLE 6 Cyl 3.0L. This will work for SE and not for 4 Cyl 2.4L. To check the fitment please use our Vehicle Selector — which can be found towards the top of the homepage as well as all categories, search results, and product pages — can help verify if a part will fit your specific application. To enter your application, simply select your vehicle’s year, make, model, sub-model, and engine type and click “Go.” Once your application is selected, you’ll see a “Guaranteed to Fit” badge if the part will fit, and we recommend that you also double-check Your Vehicle Fit Details as well as the Vehicle Fitment Information table on the product page.
