This is a direct-fit part to be installed where the original camera is installed by the factory (for truck versions with back up camera, located at the back of your truck, bumper, or tailgate). A rewiring has to be done if needed. Please check your truck's owner's manual for the exact location of the back-up-camera. Answered by Jeonino E. / Sun, Oct 17My answer is same as above. It was a direct replacement for the original camera mounted on the trucks tailgate. It plugged into the OEM cable that was for the camera that failed. For that application the image does display on the radio screen of a 2011 Dodge RAM when the vehicle is in Reverse.
