Question: What is the size of the motor that sticks thru the firewall. Just the motor size should be like 3 inches or smaller. All the parts I buy say 3 inches and that's to big to fit thru the circle in the firewall. 1989 wrangler 4.0l?Behr T. / Jan 10, 2024
Hi Behr, I'm pleased to assist you. The motor housing diameter is approximately 3.125 inches, this is close to 3 inches, but still slightly larger than the firewall hole. The blower motor shaft diameter is typically around 5/8 inches (0.625 inches), this should fit comfortably through the 3.15-inch firewall hole. Check if there is a way to make it fit.
