Good Day! Thank you for your purchase.
Our records shows that the Brake Line you ordered, is a match for a 1995 Chevrolet K1500. However, the part will fit depending on the cab style and the bed length.
For us to check why the part did not fit right, can tell us if you have Standard Cab Pickup, Crew Cab Pickup or Extended Cab Pickup also, can you tell us the size of the bed?

Hi Zachary, I'm glad to assist you. It is incompatible. It fits the K1500 models only. Upon checking, we do not carry a brake line set for your 1996 Chevy K2500 5.7L truck.
