I installed the EBC green stuff pair on the front brakes of a 2003 Mazda Protege 5. I noticed a definite increase in stopping power when I compared the EBC's to how the Mazdas OEM brake pads felt when new. I always thought that the Protege 5's brakes should be somewhat more powerful. The EBCs shorten the stopping distance compared to the OEM's for me, but the new EBC pads reveled that the Mazda Proteges brake calipers truly should have been designed to be more beefy from the factory. Also they seem to work well with the new "slotted and drilled" disc rotors I installed at the same time. A final note, I have no idea as of yet how they will hold up over time.
