I delayed fixing ,y problem because the dealer wanted $80 for the part. I was able to get the part from Carparts.com for less than $8 - 1/10 the costs. Good to see someone is trying to curb the cost of car parts.

Question: Do i have to take off the entire rear bumper to install it?

Answered by Jeonino E. / Mon, Nov 08No. Take out the one screw inside the wheel well, that runs through the bumper cover into the bracket. Pry the plastic bumper cover away from the car, and maybe twist the end down, to give you clearance to get a screwdriver onto the two screws that hold the bracket in place. Unscrew the two screws, pop the old bracket out, pop the new bracket in. Pound in it some to get it seated flush against the sheet metal. Put in the two screws that hold the bracket to the sheet metal. Align the plastic bumper cover and pop it into place, pounding on it as necessary. Replace the third screw that goes though the bumper cover, into the bracket, in the wheel well.
