bad design on engineers part as part was orginal part was ruined after trip through car wash . brush hooked on the end of trim and ripped it out breaking it . purchase and shipping was very easy . product arricved packaged well in good shape . will use this way to purchase further products

For a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis the front bumper chrome trim pieces are shorter than the rear bumper chrome trim pieces, so not the same. That said, a rear bumper trim piece can be trimmed down in size to fit the front bumper. It is the same shape, but just longer. So you could cut the excess length off and discard it. Hope that helps.
