The powdercoat black is a satin finish and requires no additional paint, but the color is black. If you're OK with having a black bumper, as I was, then go for it.

It is absolutely paintable. Just get your local body shop to use the paint code off the inside panel of your driver side door.

It will be a different black. This bumper has a satin finish. Not gloss, not flat. It should coordinate fine with your existing black, unless you're really particular. You can always have it painted to match, if you really want it to match.
