You will have to check the "vehicle Emission Control Information" sticker usually found under the hood to determine if Federal or California emission. And where is the vehicle registered? This catalytic converter is for the front compatible with the 2006 Ford Taurus SE and SEL 6Cyl 3.0L Illegal For Installation In Ny On Vehicles Equipped With California Emission Systems; Not Legal For Use In California; Y Pipe With 2 Converters.
Just a heads-up, some states now require the use of CARB-COMPLIANT AFTERMARKET CONVERTERS. It is important to know your State’s requirements to determine the correct converter for your application and location. EPA guidelines do not allow mismatching emission components.
