Hi Manajurie, I'm glad to assist you. The P0420 is a general code on underperforming catalytic converters on GM vehicles. We highly suggest consulting a mechanic who can physically check the vehicle to tell which of the two catalytic converters requires changing. Hello Robin,
This is the rear catalytic converter which is underneath the car. This part is located before the center muffler or resonator.
