Took some tweaking to get old one off but this fit in nicely. Did take a little welding to get it completly working but it is working very well and check engine has not been on now for 50 miles. That is a great sign it is good.

Hello! Yes, you would need to meet California emissions standards if you live in California. The 2020 Catalytic converter wouldn't work on your 2005

This part fits the 2006 Jeep Liberty Renegade, 65th Anniversary Edition, Limited, and Sport 6 Cyl 3.7L 4WD that has Federal type emission. For this part, the location or State information is not enough. The replacement part has to match the emission specification of the vehicle. Please check the Vehicle Emission Control Information sticker usually found underneath the hood, to make sure the catalytic converter matches the Emission label specifications.
