I'm definitely giving this product 5 stars. I've been dealing with this engine light regarding the catalytic converter for about 2 years. Every mechanic or auto shop were giving me estimates in the thousands. I took it upon myself to do the research on how it's done & it sure paid off. I purchased this product from Car Parts, the shipping was quick & the product was compatible just as they said. I immediately made time to install the replacement & can guarantee that it's been great ever since. Question: I installed this on my 09 Tahoe 5.3 and am now throwing code P0430 Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2. Brand new plugs are also carbon fouled bank 2 only. O2 sensors testing properly. What can I do about this?Julianne W. / Jul 05, 2021
Hi Julie, I'm glad to help you out. A P0430 code means that the downstream oxygen sensor of the catalytic converter is registering an improper reading. We suggest having a professional mechanic check the Tahoe to pinpoint exactly the part that is needed to be replaced so we can help you get the correct one. It has both sides but where it connects in the middle your better off welding than usiing the sealer provided and it is a little louder than stock which isnt ideal in a luxury vehicle
