I purchased direct fit catalytic converter for my E320 one for each side. When I took them to the muffler shop to have them installed neither side fitted. So instead of returning them just had the shop cut out the new catalytic converter and use my old pipes. I was disappointed.

Unfortunately, this catalytic converter is not compatible with the 2001 Mercedes Benz E430. Some States now require use of CARB-COMPLIANT AFTERMARKET CONVERTERS (in certain circumstances). It is important to know your State’s requirements to determine the correct converter for your application and location.
