My 2001 BMW 530I needed its second replacement of the front cup holder. This is a notoriously wimpy design and requires a lot of care to use without easily breaking it . It also tends to stop working, i.e. to stow itself back into the dash and stay there.
I was happy to see that Carparts offered 3 makers of this part, so I bought the mid-priced one. It arrived promptly, nicely boxed in its original factory package (not original BMW, by the way), and was ready to install. Two screws hold it in and it is trivial to install.
It works fine, like new, and i am very pleased with the whole deal.
