This is a 3 sided windshield reveal molding that has no corner welds. This part is designed to be installed during glass replacement. Please see link below for your reference.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Sun, Feb 21No......The windshield doesn't need to be removed to install the molding. It's a bit difficult to get it tucked in but take your time and you'll be fine. Make sure to clean the surfaces thoroughly and measure for the center. Start at the top center of the windshield and work your way outward. Do NOT remove the protective strip over the two-sided tape until you're certain that the molding fits nicely all the way around. Once you're happy with the install, peel off the protective strip and seal it down.
