I bought a certified pre-owned 2023 Mercedes E450 Cabriolet. I mean what the hell, you only live once, and can't take it with you! Carfax, and the Mercedes service record for the car indicated that the previous owner had six issues over 2 years relating to tires and/or wheels. The car came with 20 in AMG wheels and very low profile tires. Even before I bought the car I started searching for 18-in Mercedes wheels and tires . I figured the lower tire pressure and larger sidewall would give the car a better ride and I wouldn't be plagued with the issues the previous owner had. Well lo and behold, I found four wheels with tires on eBay off a 2023 E450. The outside bead was broken for the TPMS sensors removal. So after I bought the car, I bought the wheels and tires. Now I needed TPMS sensors. I bought the sensors from A premium. I tried to install them myself but the sidewall of the low profile tires was just so damn stiff. I couldn't compress it enough to get the clearance needed inside the wheel to install the sensor. So, I tried to find a place to install them. Every place (5 in total) told me I needed sensors that could be programmed and they wouldn't install the ones I bought from A premium. They all wanted to sell me new sensors at like $150 each plus installation, plus mounting and balancing of the tire. So it was going to cost me like $800 to $900 just to get these tires mounted. In any event, A premium assured me that the e450 with their sensors were a match. I was skeptical. Customer service and I communicated on multiple occasions (via email) after I contacted them with multiple questions. Their patients, recommendations and explanations were exceptional. I had the A Premium TPMS sensors installed at Mavis (the one of two that would do it) . They charged me $39 per tire mounting and balancing and then I proceeded to change the tires myself. after installation, following the directions for resetting the TPMS in the e450s manual, as advised by A Premium customer service, 6 minutes later, the tire pressure was being displayed at the dash. I should never have doubted them in the first place.
