This sensor is usually located near the middle of the fuel rail and is linked to the engine control unit (ECU), which is the central computer of a vehicle.

Answered by Grace G. / Wed, Feb 03The fuel pressure sensor is located on the very top of your gas tank. You would have to drop your fuel tank to replace it. Or you could do what I did. I took the backseat out and measured about where it is located and cut a hole in the floor. The fuel pressure sensor was right where I thought and is very simple to change. Before you pull it out of your gas tank. Take compressed air and blow all the dirt from around it it just pulls out and then plug your wiring harness into it very simple. Then I took a piece of sheet metal bigger than the whole I cut and shaped it to fit using silicone around the hole then the sheet metal and I used sheet metal screws. As good as new. The worst part about it was figuring out how to get the backseat out. The sensor works great now. No matter which way you decide to do it have fun.
