I noticed that when I turned my right turn signal on at night my high beams would come on; not cool if I was behind someone or had traffic approaching. This switch fixed that (and I got my horn back as well, which had been intermittent for over a year; that was an unexpected bonus!) and was easy to install. Works perfect!

Sure does! I have a '99 K1500 Suburban (essentially the same truck) with tilt, cruise and it's the same as the original. Time will tell as for longevity, but so far so good!

Hi,
The most likely cause for the brake lights staying on is the brake light switch sticking closed or a grounding issue. You can disconnect the plug from the brake light switch at the brake light pedal to see if the lights turn off. Otherwise, it is best to have the vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic to determine what part needs replacement.

Answered by Grace G. / Sat, Dec 12for me "brake lights work=step on pedal brake lites come on" if this is what you mean then:
first ---- look and make sure key (ing) is indeed off not in acc(acesory position).
second- the ing. should have terminals on the back, acc, run, start. you may have acc mixed up with run.
third---- if the key is definatly off (can be pulled out) and "brake lights work" you have big issue, disconnect you battery when your not working on the auto.
